OF SUFISM AND LOVE: September 2010

My Message

If you love the Creator; how can you not love its creation? And if you love its creation; how can you justify violence against it.
Infidels, Terrorists, Savages, Yankee, Zionists, Anti-Zionist, Nigger, White boy. These are not exactly terms of endearment. They are simply used as a justification for violence against others.
These terms have two things in common.
1. They are devoid of love.
2. And they are used to justify a whole spectrum of behaviors from insensitivity to others feelings and apathy for their sufferings, to discrimination, to intolerance, hate and murder.
The inevitable reaction to these behaviors, are the same spectrum of behaviors from the other human being or groups. This leads to a vicious cycle of hate, murder and mayhem.
So what is the solution? You ask.
My answer: Love it is.
With love in the heart, one may first become sensitive to the plight and pain of others. Next comes communication, with an open mind. Open to the idea that it may not entirely be the other person, group or nation’s fault.
Once this happens, it is my hope and belief that rest will fall into place… eventually.

I will end my message with a poem
Those whom Love has chosen as a friend,
Remain at peace with this affliction till the very end
Quitely they sip the poisoned wine of Love’s sorrow,
Never afraid of what pain awaits them tomorrow.
